All Set for Castrol Magnatec Hill Climb Finale

May 15, 2008

THE Hill Climb Club of the Philippines will hold the fifth and sixth rounds of the 2008 Castrol Magnatec Hill Climb Series in the province of Batangas on May 25 to 26.

2007 National Hill Climb Champion Carlos Anton, who won the first four rounds, is aiming to close out the 2008 Series, which is sponsored by Castrol Magnatec and supported by Speedlab, Eibach Springs, Hotwire @ Studio 23, San Miguel by the Bay and Wave 89.1, with an unprecedented sweep. Out to spoil his bid are Carlo Garcia and dark horse Jan de le Merced.

These culminating two rounds of the series will have three of the four heats run at night, a first in world hill climb history. The specific location and details of the course will be presented during the event briefing.

Interested parties are invited to attend the drivers briefing and scrutineering of competing vehicles on May 21, 6 p.m., at San Miguel by the Bay along Seaside Boulevard in the SM Mall of Asia Complex, where the public will get a chance to see the cars and meet the drivers up close.
